What WE DO
With well over 20 years of combined hands-on experience from design and branding agencies, art projects and exhibitions, digital printing, artistic painting and project management we know what difference a unique visual expression makes. And we know how to make one. By combining our creativity and curiosity with professional expertise in lettering, typography, graphic design and painting we can help you with everything from idea to execution.
Graphic Design
We are specialists in creating graphic design with the handmade expression as a base. We handle many aspects of graphic design such as texts, typography, illustration and layout. We are proud to create our own design for signs and wall murals etc, but also for creating graphic design and illustration for printed media such as menus, etiquettes and clothing.
Traditional Sign Painting
Using traditional techniques, we produce custom signs with classic layout and lettering. We can also recreate and restore old handmade/painted signs as well as create props for scenography.
We can paint on most existing and new surfaces, for example: murals, metal, glass, brick, wood, walls, cars, and more!
Gold Leaf Gilding'
As the saying goes you only have one opportunity to make a first impression. Nothing looks better than real gold! We offer both glass gilding (brilliant mirror finish & matte finish) and surface gilding with gold leaf, perfect for signage with a slightly more exclusive expression.
What is Sign Painting?
Sign painting is the traditional way of communicating on everything from buildings and windows to signs and menus. An art work, made by hand just like in the old days. When computer cut signage came along in the 1980’s a tsunami of mass-production flooded our cites in vinyl and synthetic materials. However, times are changing as more and more companies are realizing that when it comes to brand experience, a plastic look simply isn’t good enough.

Sthlm Signs is a design studio consisting of Henrik Lindquist & Pontus Bergman. We specialize in graphic design, hand-painted signage, lettering and murals.
With traditional sign painting techniques and an artistic approach we take visual ideas and design to the next level. We work with signs, walls, windows, vehicles and basically anything you can think of for that unique and timeless look your brand deserves.
In a world where pretty much everything has gone digital, the interest for real craftsmanship is on the rise, and in our short time we have already worked with many of Stockholms most interesting stores, breweries, cafés and hotspots. With a passion for both design and perfection, we pay attention to every detail and are not satisfied until you are. The result is a genuine artwork that no plastic print can match.
Pontus Bergman
Pontus got his education in art school and in the printing industry. Colour and shape has been recurrent throughout his career as a digital printer, painter and an artist on behalf of small and large global customers. With a lifelong passion for lettering in different forms, he has been project manager – and the driving force – for numerous art exhibitions, book productions, workshops, and events.
Henrik Lindquist
Henrik has worked at leading design and advertising agencies with final artwork, illustration, typography, layout and graphic design for more than 10 years. He has always been interested in the art of lettering and has been painting and drawing since forever. With his particularly sharp eye and accuracy he has delivered hundreds of commercial designs that surrounds you everyday.
